Bill Pannill

Bill is a third-generation Texas lawyer and writer who now practices primarily in the appellate courts. He graduated from Rice University in 1962 with a degree in history and earned a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. He worked as a copy boy at The New York Times during journalism school.

Bill is also an active choral singer, a member of the choir of Christ Church Cathedral, and the founder of a madrigal group named the Piping Rock Singers. He plays Renaissance and Baroque music on the keyboard and the viola da gamba. He is the immediate past president of the Houston Civil War Round Table.
