A graduate of Rice University and a former Naval Officer, Louis served in numerous positions at Hines over a 38 year period. Prior to his retirement at the end of 2005, he was the Executive Vice President responsible for all Hines development and operations in the Southwestern United States and Mexico. While serving on the boards of Central Houston and Uptown Houston, he focused on area design and beautification issues and was instrumental in creating Scenic Districts in Uptown and the Central Business District. He has served on the boards of numerous community non-profits over the years and presently is on the board of the Houston Zoo and the advisory board of the Hermann Park Conservancy.
