Max served as President, Chairman, and CEO of BMC Software, Inc., one of the world's largest software vendors. He helped lead BMC to become a billion dollar software company while encouraging programs for employees that provided child care and recreation/health facilities within the architectural award-winning 55 acre headquarters. After his “retirement,” he increased his involvement in civic endeavors in Houston – particularly related to improving the quality of life for its citizens – young and old. In addition to Scenic Houston, he currently serves on the Executive Board of Trustees of Texas Children's Hospital, the Quality of Life Coalition, and Group I Automotive.
