Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Amegy Bank of Texas

Before joining Amegy in 2002, Allan was Executive Vice President of Orillion Corporation, an international supplier of software systems to the telecommunications industry. Prior to that, he engaged in the private practice of law, most recently with the Texas firm now known as Gardere Wynne Sewell, where he was managing partner. Allan graduated from Yale University and the University of Texas School of Law, following which he served as law clerk to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

He has served as director of many professional and community service organizations, and is currently a director of Communities in Schools- Houston. He is also Secretary-Treasurer of Scenic Texas.
