MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIR

It is truly an honor to serve as Board Chair for Scenic Houston and to work alongside a group of people who genuinely care about the future of this city and the experience people have in it every single day. I also want to recognize our incredible Board of Directors. Your leadership, your time, and your belief in this work matter deeply. If you are a board member, please raise your hand so we can thank you.

One of the things I love most about Scenic Houston is that our work touches people in ways they may not even realize. It is the feeling you get driving into a beautiful corridor. It is a well-maintained esplanade that tells a neighborhood, “you matter.”
It is less clutter, more beauty, more pride, and more connection to the city we all call home. Those things may seem small, but they shape how people experience Houston every day. And in a city as big, diverse, and dynamic as ours, that matters.

Scenic Houston continues to advocate for thoughtful, people-centered public spaces through efforts to reduce visual blight, eliminate bandit signs, and strengthen partnerships like our Adopt-an-Esplanade initiative with the Houston Parks and Recreation Department.

 

At the end of the day, this work is about stewardship. It is about creating a city that feels welcoming, cared for, and worthy of the people who live here. Thank you for being a part of the Scenic Houston mission.
